Memorial Day Plans
The crew will be heading out to Central Oregon to camp this weekend. It’s Steve’s birthday weekend so he got to pick the activities. We will be camping and hiking near Redmond. Pictures will follow.

Three words: Popcorn with bacon

This Weekend
Tonight we are attending the Pelican Brewer’s Dinner at Wildwood Cafe. This is our first brewers dinner because it was relatively affordable. I can’t wait. Yummy food and delicious beer paired together has to be good right?

Wine Country: Dundee
Sunshine, warm weather, visiting relatives, and wine. That makes for a great Saturday. Since Nana is in town the fam has been showing her all the finer points of Oregon. The Coast was toured. Pint Night: HUB
Pint night was at Hopworks Urban Brewery on Friday. We all arrived at different times so there was confusion with beer orders and mine took FOREVER to arrive. That was quickly corrected once Dustin, our waiter, was alerted.

Gilt club and Roseland Theater
Having missed the show that they did at the Roseland in October, I absolutely had to get tickets to see Mute Math at the Roseland Theater, even though they were in the middle of a three act bill.

Homemade Pop Tarts! YUMMY goodness.
I have been looking at the recommended items on Google reader and came across a recipe for homemade pop tarts. I love Pop Tarts but feel a bit guilty when I eat them. 400+ calories for 2 tarts plus all of the partially hydrogenated goodness you need for 2 lifetimes. While there are organic versions of the toaster pastry I thought this could be a good adventure in the kitchen.
